50 Autocorrect Mistakes That Are Hilariously Mortifying

Published

on

We all know the feeling. Our stomach drops when we see it. We go back to re-read the text message we’ve just sent to our parents, our boss, or maybe even someone you just met…and it happened…the dreaded autocorrect.

It’s happened to all of us. Our phones take the liberty to change the word we intended to send into something completely (and usually hilariously or embarrassingly) different. Whether’s it’s from “does” to “died” or “pool” to “pool” or way, way worse. It’s always mortifying.

Here are 50 of the most hilarious autocorrect fails that ever existed.

At least you aren’t these people? Remember to double-check your texts before you send them!

1) You might want to leave those at home

Yikes! This person mistakenly told their mom that they’ll be bringing drugs home for the holidays. Not exactly the party favor she was probably expecting. Luckily she just meant someone named Doug. Phew!

2) That shouldn’t affect the picture much, right?

This person shared what seemed like waaayyyy too much information with their friend. Understandably, the friend was in quite a bit of shock! Thankfully, there was an explanation behind this.

3) Let’s not do that

Let’s hope the person on the receiving end of this text waited to get the correction before assuming that’s what they really meant. There’s a big difference between picking someone up and licking someone up. It’s important to have a sense of humor when things like this happen.

4) *facepalm*

First off, this person doesn’t seem to understand that the 4 dots that appear are what show up when the other person is typing and responding to a text. Second, trying to spell the word ‘dots’ is very difficult for them. Hopefully, they’ve figured it all out by now.

5) No…that’s not what I meant.

If you’re a Rick and Morty fan, you’d be familiar with the nonsensical phrase of ‘wubba lubba dub dub’. However, if you’re Google, you apparently think it means “I am in great pain please help me”. Just slightly morbid and terrifying.

6) Should I call the cops?

This person thought they might have been having a text exchange with a potential murderer. Thankfully, that was not the case. They kissed them, they didn’t kill them.

Save

7) Not playing fair

In a family group text it looks like someone is trying to encourage someone another family member in a competition. Instead of saying they’ll be cheering them on, they seemed to suggest that they’d be cheating in order for her to win. Thankfully, there isn’t any real corruption going on here.

8) This phone isn’t a superhero fan

This phone is really struggling to spell Batman. In fact, it decided to go with batsman and Bateman before getting it right. Maybe the phone is more of a Marvel than a DC fan.

Save
Source: Reddit/Funny Autocorrect

9) Let’s not go there…

It’s probably a good idea to leave sensitive subjects off the table when you’re texting. Better to save those conversations for a more face-to-face discussion. Especially if you’re going to go right from paintball to a pro-life/pro-choice discussion. Oopsy!

Save

10) Huh?

One side effect of autocorrect is that you can blurt out the most random words ever. This person simply meant to write absolutely and the phone changed it to smaller. Why? How? So annoying!

Save

Source: Reddit/DamnYouAutocorrect

11) Trying to be flirty…

You know when you’re trying to be cute and flirty and it just totally fails? Yeah. That’s what autocorrect did to this person. At least they have a new word they get to use with one another! How cute.

Save

Source: Reddit/DamnYouAutocorrect

12) Autocorrect is so confusing

What’s really annoying is when you KNOW you’ve spelled a word correctly and you’re still told it’s wrong. Honestly, this type of thing is enough to drive anyone batty. Does anything make any sense anymore?!

Save

Source: Reddit/DamnYouAutocorrect

13) No one wants those

Can we pass on those poop noodles and maybe go with a linguini or something instead? This autocorrect was very unappetizing – intense and gross sounds about right. Luckily the receiver has a sense of humor.

Save

Source: Reddit/DamnYouAutocorrect

14) You can never explain it

How does one go from wanting to say ‘back’ but the phone goes with ‘DMV’? It makes no sense. I don’t think we’ll ever understand the brains behind our phones.

Save

Source: Reddit/DamnYouAutocorrect

15) The struggle is real

We are right along with this person and their autocorrect fiasco. You want to trust your phone, so you press send, only to find that it has no idea what you were trying to type. And how did we transition from health to politics?

Save

Source: Reddit/DamnYouAutocorrect

16) That’s not nice

We highly doubt your mom prefers being called ‘Trash’ over Trish or Patricia. It’s a good thing they caught their mistake! This could have been a very terrible first meeting and impression.

Save

17) Holy food

One teeny tiny word mishap and you all of the sudden have the most confusing sentence ever. Meaning to say “your body called for food,” the phone changed it to “your bday called god food”. If that’s not a brain-melter, we don’t know what is.

Save

18) What type of pasta is that?

Have you ever heard of that very hard-to-find pasta called “add a cheeni”? Yeah, us either. Apparently, they meant fettuccine and their phone decided to have a total spaz-out moment.

Save

19) Not the smartest business name

Imagine going to an eye doctor and optometrist called Wrong Eye Care. It’s kind of like when you see places called “OK Tires” or “Average Joe’s” or something. Luckily, it was just an autocorrect mistake. Of course.

20) Are you in trouble?

This person was under the impression their friend might have been a suspect in a potential crime. As it turns out, they’re just suspended from school. Still not cool, but at least not criminal.

Save

21) DOGS!

Much like this person, you might know your neighbors and people around town by the type of dog they have. Unfortunately, this person’s phone turned the word ‘dogs’ into a word that means something VERY different. Yikes!

Save

Source: Reddit/DamnYouAutocorrect

22) On the same topic at least?

This person was exchanging some texts with their uncle about stuff for a possible new car. Their response about “jeeping” their eyes open is surprisingly somewhat appropriate! It doesn’t make any sense still but…it could have been worse!

Save

Source: Reddit/DamnYouAutocorrect

23) Burritos on the mind…

Is the person writing the text hungry or is the phone subliminally suggesting that they need a burrito right now? Either way, we’re not sure why ‘hurry’ was corrected to a delicious Mexican meal, but it’s pretty funny. First impression too!

Save

24) Oddly specific

Dating is hard. This person is going for a clean slate and ends up having a pretty hilarious conversation with their friend. At first, it seemed like they were complaining about the ‘organs’ of their dates. But…they meant something else entirely.

25) Not familiar with that lawn game

This mother-in-law has some very interesting suggestions for lawn games according to this autocorrect. We’ve never heard of them but it sounds messy and it sounds a little too intimate. But hey! To each their own.

Save

26) Take your time…

The worst part is when you keep hitting the ‘send’ button and each time it’s incorrect. It’s probably the most frustrating thing ever. Well, as a first-world problem in 2020 anyway.

Save

27) That’s quite the tour

28) Staaaahhhpppp

The autocorrect struggle is ongoing and persistent for this poor person. It starts with “food no radon”. Then, “food no reason”. Then Ask, Acl, Ack…it’s almost painful to read.

Save

29) Seriously bad timing

Autocorrect has no tact and no filter. It tends to rear it’s dirty head at the worst, most uncomfortable times. Like this person trying to be compassionate after a health scare. How frustrating and embarrassing!

Save

30) Side business

It sounds like this student should shift their focus to their homework and maybe steer away from their side business. Maybe they mean something to do with farming or harvesting crops? Yeah, we’ll go with that.

31) Double-check your texts!

If you’re going to use a word like “noobz,” which is short for “newbie,” which isn’t exactly a REAL word, you should probably double-check your texts before sending. Otherwise, something mortifying might happen. Like this!

Save

32) Double autocorrect mishap

It was just supposed to be a simple reply back. But no. Autocorrect had to go and turn into something bizarre and slightly inappropriate. We hope this wasn’t an exchange with a boss or anything! Ugh. So embarrassing.

33) It’s almost painful

This person was trying to talk about their grammar when autocorrect ruined their grammar. If that’s not the most frustrating ever, we don’t know what is. And if you’re really into grammar? It’s actually painful.

34) A phone with a mind of its own

“I have never saved this word into my vocabulary. My phone replaces words with bizarre stuff,” said this person who shared the photo on Reddit. I’m not sure how often people have ever said “dorgorten” but apparently, the phone likes it better than “forgotten”.

35) Please don’t screenshot this

The problem is, if you send someone a terrible autocorrect (like this poor soul below), you’re at the mercy of the receiver. They can easily screenshot the conversation and share it for the world to see. Like…now, for example.

39) Sounds fun, right?

The only thing that makes autocorrect even worse than it already is, is when it happens to grandmas and they have no idea what just happened. 40) Sounds yummy

We’re not exactly big fans of lasagna with peroxide side sauce, and thankfully, this person really isn’t either. Autocorrect just makes it sound like they’re into some strange eating habits. Perogies and lasagna sounds like a much nicer combo.

Lazy People Solutions That Defy Common Sense

There’s the right way of doing things, and then there’s the wrong way of doing things. But how can a solution be wrong when it’s faster? This is how.

Every day, we go through small internal battles. We argue with ourselves over doing things right or doing things fast. The 40 people ahead all opted to do things fast. And the consequences came even faster as a result!

50 Cringeworthy Fashion Fails We Can’t Believe People Didn’t Notice

Published

on

Not all of us are fashion experts. This is why we try to experiment and mix and match clothes to see if we can look more stylish. Unfortunately, the more we try to look more fashionable, the more we end up failing. The risky fashion choice we make often leaves us looking ridiculous and weird in other people’s eyes.

Fortunately, fashion disasters aren’t always bad. In fact, they can be transformed into little entertainment and also a warning for others to never try to copy them.

Here are the most cringe-worthy fashion fails you need to see this year:

1. Brown logo on white shoes

In theory, putting a brown logo on a white background will make a product look classy. In reality, a brown logo on white shoes just looks like bird poo from afar.

2. A not-so-comfortable evening dress

The way this shirt is marketed is quite confusing. Should you not iron it because it doesn’t look wrinkly or should you not iron it because it’s designed to look wrinkled?

This is probably not the best design to have on your swimsuit. Apart from that it’s a children’s character, the theme creates a different connotation.

The dress would look nicer if the bottom part wasn’t designed that way. It forms something you can only find in men.
